mmmm Longo's Market Salad Bar

Ever since Longo's Market opened up in Brookfield Place (previously know as BCE Place), the only thing I really buy there when it comes to fresh or cooked foods is THE SALAD BAR!!! Personally, I haven't seen anything like it. Apparently Kitchen Table has an impressive salad bar but I probably won't give it a try. If I like something a lot, I'll stick to it because if I try something knew I could probably be setting myself up for disappointment.

This salad bar at Longo's has everything from fresh fruits and salad to garlic and lemon marinated shrimps and meditteranean couscous. The items I usually get are the meditteranean couscous, roasted red peppers, garlic mushrooms, chicken breast, asparagus, and tomatoe and bocconcini cheese salad. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!! The couscous is my absolute favorite! I will, one day, make this couscous myself. Speaking of making it myself, perhaps I need to learn soon because this salad cost me $6.00. I can't help it. It would take ages to make all of these ingredients in this salad mixture and life is too short :o) After all, life is all about variety!

My co-worker Steve and I don't care if it's inappropriate or weird to be eating a salad bar mixture for breakfast. It beats a boring toasted peanut butter sandwich. Plus this early in the morning, we beat the afternoon line up!!

So... if you're ever in the vacinity of Brookfield Place, drop by Longo's Market on the concourse level and indulge in a scrumptious salad!
